Today I woke up at 5:30, jet lagged much? After Breakfast (fruits, milk, bread) I went to the south Grenchen train station with Baarbara. Here I got a year long train pass to Solothurn, a train pass from Solothurn to Oltern (the location of my German course) and a half price travel pass for all of Switzerland. They stopped giving out free travel all over Switzerland because of some irresponsible students. After we went to the Grenchen community center and showed that I had arrived. At around 10:30 Barbara took me around Grenchen. This included the two main stores -Migros and Coop- the town center, the schools, and other random places. Samuel, Barbr, and I went to Samuel's school and looked at the different rooms. It is very big and very modern.  After a good lunch we were off to the top of the Jura Mountians. From the top you can see everything. We went on a long hike through cow fields and cliff edges and were able to get a view of almost all Switzerland (not surprising, it's a very small country). We ate at a restaurant on the top of the mountain, I had a traditional Swiss meal (Rösti), Fried eggs laid on top of hash brown style potatoes. For dessert we had a pudding cake (Crèmeschnitte), pudding between sheets of Teigblätter.
