Sports and such:
- Every Monday since the beginning of the year I participate in "Zumba" with the local 'women's health club'. Starting off it was just the same dances every week. After a couple of months they ran out of teachers and we started having less and less Zumba. Once in a while we would do some thai energy dances, a few times we did dances while lifting weighs, once we just played games. I lost a lot of my enthusiasm for Monday night Zumba, because I felt a little crazy doing jumping jacks and bunny hops in front of the gym's giant glass windows. To the people outside we probably seemed pretty pathetic. I am excited to say that starting next week we will have a professional hip-hop dancer teaching our classes. I am sure this will be fun and I am ready to improve my (already class A) dancing (I am actually very very bad at dancing).
- Every Tuesday I have Yoga as an 'free-choice' school course in the evening. I have learned a lot throughout the year (My first ever yoga course). We have worked on improving balance, posture, breathing, relaxing, and every thing else you can imagine. Yoga is very hard and I am always tempted to just lay in bed the next day when I wake up because my muscles feel like jello. My favorite part of yoga is the last 15 minutes when we enter a state of awake sleep. It is very relaxing and always nice to look forward to after a long day of school.
- On Thursdays I have another school 'free-choice' class... volleyball. I started of the year not being able to hit the volleyball over the net, let alone play a game. Now I am able to serve (still can't master overhand) spike, bump, and set. I went from being the worst in the class to still really bad but not the worst! I am excited to put up our volleyball net next year and win some games against my lovely parents.
Other 'one-time' adventures:
I have hung out with quite a few school friends after school and here is a small list of some of the things we have done.
- eaten ice-cream in the rain
- gone to a (definitely funny) german poetry slam
- went to a museum about money (kind of boring)
- eaten food at restaurants (cause food!)
- our biology class tested dna with pcr and solved a fake crime (beware: it was hard and required a lot of science)
- Going to eat with Rotary people
- more eating

(not a club... just a poetry slam)
(mine was the row that didn't light up because I did it wrong...)
