Showers
Here in Switzerland the houses appear to be much larger with more rooms, yet all of the rooms are very small. My current house has two bathrooms and we all (6 of us) share the bathroom not in the basements (because basements are scary). I tend to take a shower later in the night because it is not in other people's way and I like to prioritize homework over showers. The problem with this is that at night it is dark, and the light in the bathroom is motion sensored. While I am taking a shower the light will turn off and I will have to get out of the shower and move my arms to get the light to turn back on. My other option is lighting a candle and taking a shower in mood lighting, which I have now gotten used to. The other difference with the showers is the head. The head is located a little above my waist, yet is detachable. It is also pointed at the shower curtain. On my first day here I made the mistake of turning the water on when the head was still pointed at the shower curtain. I have now a good process of turning the water on and of so not to risk getting water all over, and being able to recognize shampoo and conditioner by touch. It is not nearly the hardest thing I have faced here, but it does make a good story

Hopefully the water is hot, unlike some of the showers in Chile and Costa Rica!
