An Introduction to Corsica
Corsica is an island off the coast of Italy, yet it is a part of France. It is a large tourist destination along with Sardinian, and island located next to it. Corsica is famous for both its beaches and mountains. It is 3,350 sure miles large and has a population of about 322,000. On our way to Corsica we left our house at 1 in the morning and drove 8 hours to a port in Italy. When there we met family friends of the Zoss's who we would rent a house with. In total we were 9 people, (6 from my family, 3 from the other) 2 young kids, three teen/tweenagers, and four adults. To get to Corsica we drove the car aboard a ship and rode 4 hours to Corsica. After another 2 hours of driving we arrived at our rental house, a 3 minute walk from the beach. We had a wonderful pool in the backyard. I introduced marco-polo to the other kids and it provided hours of fun. Corsica was mostly warm, yet rained a few days. Mostly everyone there spoke french, which was hard for me. All in all a very beautiful island.
