Three Months

Today is my 97th day here in Switzerland, I have officially been here over 3 months with is supposedly the when you can speak and understand the language very well. I am happy to say that I can understand a lot of German now. I am understanding the basics of what we learn in class and catch up on what I miss at home. I can understand what people are say when they are speaking High German with me and a tiny bit of Swiss German. I am reading a little in German and am taking all of my tests and almost all of my homework. School is really challenging, I have to be alert all of the time in order to understand the classes, and I am also 20 time more tired than I was in the US which makes staying alert even harder. As of right now I am really enjoying my economics and chemistry classes. My hardest classes are physics, biology S, and history. Sports class is really strange for me because we do very challenging sports. I'm not talking about physically challenging, but technically challenging. The sports class here is build upon year ager year. The kids in my class have better than average skills in everything that we have down so far. We have done gymnastics (handstand, bar flips, etc), pole vaulting, volleyball, a 600 meter spring, a 3 mile run, and more. Lastly I got my first economics test back today and got 14.5 points out of 33. I was gone for three weeks of the material, I have never had economics before, it had no multiple choice, and I wrote and read it all in German. This is a 3.2 in Swiss grades, the highest is a 6 but anything over a 5 is considered great. I was pretty excited about my 3.2!
